Grantmaking
Since 2013, the Stichting has made grants to the following organizations:
MAD-Aid, a UK charity that started with the Medical Aid Delivery program which facilitates the transfer of high-quality equipment no longer needed by British hospitals (NHS) to hospitals in dire need of improvement. At the same time, it helps the UK hospitals save the cost of storage or disposal of equipment they no longer need. The charity also established and now operates a UK-standard modern-day care and early intervention and rehabilitation centre for children and teenagers with special needs.
Country Trust, a UK charity which is dedicated to bringing alive the working countryside for children least able to access it. Since 1978 The Country Trust has been making it possible for hundreds of volunteer farmers and landowners to welcome thousands of disadvantaged young children from all backgrounds and faiths onto their farms to share their passion for food, farming, and the countryside. FoodCycle, a UK charity whose vision is to make food poverty, loneliness, and food waste a thing of the past for every community. With community dining, week in, week out thex feed the hungry and give company to the lonely in their communities; providing delicious meals and great conversation and using food which would otherwise go to waste. Refugee Council, a UK leading charity working with refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK. Founded in 1951, following the creation of the UN Refugee Convention, they exist to support and empower people who have made the heart breaking decision to flee conflict, violence and persecution in order to rebuild their lives in the UK. Canal & River Trust, whose story as a charity is rooted in the history of the waterways. The Trust was launched in 2012, taking over the guardianship of British Waterways’ canals, rivers, reservoirs and docks in England and Wales – and heralding the next chapter in the renaissance of the waterways. The Royal Hospital Chelsea, the home of the iconic Chelsea Pensioners, who are all retired soldiers of the British Army. Since 1692 we have offered care and comradeship for veterans in recognition of their loyal service to the Nation.

Sir John Soane Museum, a house museum, which was formerly the home of neo-classical architect, John Soane. It holds many drawings and architectural models of Soane’s projects, and a large collection of paintings, sculptures, drawings and antiquities that he acquired over many years. Octavia Foundation, an English charity which connects people affected by unemployment, ill health, social isolation or low incomes in central and west London with opportunities for positive personal change. Leighton House Museum, which was the former home of the Victorian artist Frederic, Lord Leighton. The only purpose-built studio-house open to the public in the United Kingdom, it is one of the most remarkable buildings of the nineteenth century, containing a fascinating collection of paintings and sculpture by Leighton and his contemporaries. Sussex Historic Churches Trust, a charitable trust which was founded in 1956 to give grants for essential repairs and restoration of places of worship of architectural or historic interest throughout Sussex. Medecins Sans Frontiers, in Netherlands (Artsen Zonder Grenzen) an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. The organization sensitively restores such ‘Landmarks’ and offers them a new future by making them available to everyone for self-catering holidays.
